Animal Farm is a book where I found three points about the real society, education, ignorance, and corruption. One the one hand in the society exist the educated people who can think objectively about a government and its way of acting in front of the people and their welfare, on the other side, there are the ignorant people who are the perfect springboard for corrupt politicians come to power. I did not like this book because it is the reflection of the Colombian government and the ignorance of the majority of the Colombian people.

First, I found education through the learning of animals, there are different kinds of animals that live in the Jones’s farm and working hard every day for the farmer, animals represented different kinds of people in the society and Jones represented the oppressor government. The smartest animals are the pigs, they learned to read and promoted a rebellion in the farm to appropriate of the farm. After they won, they were very happy because of their win and they could work for their own food and welfare. In addition, the animals that wanted to learn to read did so and created the commandments that govern their good behavior as a society within the farm, demonstrating that education leads to success in all processes as a society.

Second, the ignorance in the book is reflecting when the animals that did not want to learn to read, that they were the majority, they only repeated what the pigs said and they made an environment of extreme noise when some animal had a point of view oppositive to that of pigs. So, the ambitious pigs found the perfect way to handle the farm how they wanted for their own benefit and keep quiet intelligent animals through populism. In society, the majority of ignorance people always win due to populism created for the government to keeping quiet the people and they can do everything that they want for their own benefit, thus creating the corruption, which is the third point I found in the book.

Corruption, the third point, is dishonest or fraudulent conduct by those in power, and this what the pigs did it whit the farm, they ended up enslaving all the animals and living comfortably with the resources of the farm. In addition, they killed many animals, which according to them, had betrayed the commandments of the farm and they always tricked them with nice words to the animals keep working for them.

Animal Farm is a good book because of shows the reality of countries that are governed for corrupt politicians, where educated people are quiet through fear of being killed and ignorant people choose the worst politician to be president. Where the corrupt government does not invest in education because it needs ignorant people to choose it to do what they want for themselves. But I did not like this book because for me animals are the most beautiful creation and in this book, they are suffering and being deceived to enslave them.

The use of video games to improve English can be positive and negative for the students; on the one hand it can improve the learning of the language and on the other, can be a waste of time or effort. Depending on the type of student is a learning tool to improve English very useful, it helps improve pronunciation and enrich vocabulary.

First, spent time playing video games is positive for the student because they can talk with others native gamers online and to learn the correct way of pronunciation, enrich their vocabulary with new words, read the instructions in English and visit game forums. Many young people know English due to the time they spend playing video games and investigating how to pass the levels, because the best online games are in the English language.

Second, some people become so addicted to play that they lose the sense of learning and even of life. for this reason, old people say that this is a waste of time for the young people and they argue that it is not the right way to improve or learn English. In addition, video games make students impatient; “New technologies make us more impatient and decrease frustration tolerance. They also relax a part of our brain that has to be worked”, said Alvaro Bilbao, neuropsychologist.

Finally, correctly use video games in English as a tool, is directly related to the type of student that uses it, that is, if it is a student who wants to improve their skills and learn new vocabulary, they will get the positive of video games, but if it is a student who uses video games as a means to have fun then you will get the negative of these.

When two words are used together to yield a new meaning, a compound is formed. 
Compound words are so prevalent in the English language, they can function as different parts of speech, which can dictate what form the compound takes on. For example, the word carry over is an open compound word when it’s used as a verb but it is closed when used as a noun and an a adjective. Example:

2. The extra supplies were part of the carryover from the budget.
